Most of you know how much Raytown has changed over the last 15-20 years. When communities change, churches need to adapt, or they risk losing influence in the changing community. At Raytown First Assembly of God, we don’t want that to be our story, We no longer wish to be a portrait to the past; we want to be a figure in the future of Raytown. We’re sorry for what’s taken place in our church. Over the years, we sat on judgment thrones while so many of you came looking for God’s love. We missed the mark and lost sight of what the church is supposed to be.

It’s a new year, which is often a time of transformation. We’re in the beginning stages of the process, and while it’s overdue, it’s a necessary process. Lifeless, religious country clubs are out; life-giving loving communities are in. It’s our goal to show Raytown and the surrounding area that God loves us all—so much so that Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice of love!

We’re interested in discovering ways in which we can serve you. There are those of you who may have never been interested in God, or perhaps have been hurt by previous experience(s) with Christians. Even so, we’d like to know! What are your needs? What are several ways we could best serve you and/or your families?

Our church isn’t going to be perfect from here on out—we’re a work in progress. However, we’ll do our best to live from God’s love and then show you the same. We want to provide food for the hungry; hope for the hurting; healing for the sick; life to the dead; family to the orphaned; and ultimately love to the unloved. That’s what Jesus was about, and we want to be an accurate re-presentation of him.

If you have questions, comments or suggestions, we’d love to hear them. You can connect with us via Facebook, our under-construction website or call us at 816-353-0126. We’d be happy to hear from you. Thank you for listening!
